FUNDAMENTAL OF DIRECTING COURSE

An introduction to all the main aspects of directing is combined with practical exercises in shooting to give an overview and experience of the basics – the practical knowledge you need in order to direct films

Persatuan Penulis Kreatif Malaysia (CGM) is organizing a Fundamental of Directing Course on 16 & 17 April 2016 at the CGM office, C-2-17 Park Avenue, Damansara Damai.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE

• Filmmakers embarking on a film directing career
• Film Directors who wants a deeper understanding of the art of directing
• Film Directors who wants to develop their skills in directing
• Film Directors applying for Micro Fund from Finas

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• VISUAL COMPOSITION – mise-en-scene,frame, academy ratio, rule of thirds, roman portrait, 180 degrees rule, head room & nose room, leading the action, 30 degrees rule
• UNDERSTANDING THE CAMERA – camera distance, camera angle, camera movement
• PREPARATION FOR PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY – shooting script, shot list, blocking & order of shots
• SHOOTING A SCENE – working with crew and actors

COURSE FEES: RM 300 per person. CGM members only RM 100.00 including F&B and notes. Places limited
